I was opposed to the trade from Day 1. This is just the beginning. Jacobs will gradually get better at a bragain basement price while Delgado will gradually decline at a King's ransom.

I wonder if Prez still believes this. I for one don't see Delgado declining severely in his final season but even if he does, I think he'll put up better numbers than Jacobs.

Needs a bump for all those doubting Delgado, AGAIN. It's the same cast of characters.

Return the favor and what? Remind us of Mike Jacobs MVP caliber performance since leaving the Mets?

come on no one thinks this is a good trade anymore...those who were laughing at the end of last year and proclaiming themselves "right" after one season about how much better delgado is at his current age should feel sheepish...

you know for the mets to buy him out after next year he'll cost them 20 million for the 2008 season..

AVG .282 | HR 4 | RBI 14 | OBP .351 | SLG .476

Career - ERA | 8.10 WHIP | 1.77 BAA | .352, and traded again

I think good trade, still.
