Just a suggestion for the admins. We have a rules thread already, but I think it would be good to have a New Members Welcome type of thread. Just a brief thread where we talk about this site, how it started, what goes on in each forum, which admins to contact if your having trouble, etc. Almost like a mission statement. I think it would be benefiticial for giving guests and new members a better idea of who we are. Just a suggestion. Also the Beltran page is sweet.

How would I go about donating money if I a) don't have a PayPal account, and b) don't want to start one with my credit card, because I really don't want my parents to see me donating money to a message baord? Do you prefer the unmarked briefcase full of cash, or the old-school bag with the dollar sign on it? Or could I just mail a letter with some money in it or something? Or a check?

I have my own credit card. $250 limit baby.

But the bill gets mailed home, and I'm trying to get my parents to agree to the whole "We'll pay for your credit card bill as long as everything you buy is completely necessary." So... this wouldn't look good.

No I mean, get another one. That your parents don't have a tab on. Or...say that "Mets Refugees" is like some fund for starving refugees somewhere that just happen to be Met fans, or something like that...

Do you have your own bank account? You can have PayPal take money right from the bank account rather than charging it

I wouldnt encourage a college student to get more credit cards. As responsible as Dan seems it's a bad habit to start that young. [CENSORED] i'm 28 and the only reason i have a credit card now is because my wife had 2 b4 i met her and she added me. I just dont like them, i spend whats in my account and thats it, [CENSORED] interest.

Well, I understand the whole deal pretty much. He can just make the payment on his new credit card for the balance he just put on for the donation, and then rip it up, correct?
