Admins, have you guys considered sponsoring pages on baseball-almanac.com? When you search google for "baseball", their site is listed 4th behind mlb.com, wiki baseball, and some math baseball game. They seem to have more available sponsorships. We can jump on a couple young guys like Edge for $25, or spend $50 on legend like Mex, or even drop $100 on Seaver. Something to possibly consider in the future.

Quote:
Please consider sponsoring this page: Baseball Almanac started in 2000. In '03 we averaged 132,388 hits per day. In '04 we had 179,878, in '05 we had 255,048 and in '06 we averaged (get ready) 613,728 hits per day ó all made possible by support from daily visitors (no corporate sponsors, no parent company, just fans). In 2007 we want to exceed 1,000,000 hits per day and we need you to help us continue to grow. Please consider sponsoring this page today to help us continue this growth trend.

Player Pages (Examples: Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth & Albert Pujols) have a pre-built-in message area at the top and are our most popular / inexpensive way to show your support. A Hall of Fame player cost $10 per month (or $100.00 for a full year), a former All-Star costs $5 per month (or $50.00 for a full year), and all other players cost only $2.50 per month (or $25.00 for a full year). You provide one full year of sponsorship / advertising, depending on how YOU choose to use it, for as little as $25. If the player page had a message that began with Sponsor This Page, it is available and can be yours today. Pay first by sending a check or money order payable to Baseball Almanac at the address below.

Team Rosters (Examples: 1927 New York Yankees, 2004 Boston Red Sox & 2005 Chicago White Sox) also have a pre-built-in message area at the top and are our newest way to show your support. A World Champion team cost $10 per month (or $100.00 for a full year), a playoff team costs $5 per month (or $50.00 for a full year), and all other rosters cost only $2.50 per month (or $25.00 for a full year). You provide one full year of sponsorship / advertising, depending on how YOU choose to use it, for as little as $25. If the team roster had a message that began with Sponsor This Page, it is available and can be yours today. Pay first by sending a check or money order payable to Baseball Almanac at the address below.

It's an intriguing possibility, I didn't even know Baseball-Almanac had sponsorships.

However...

BR has pretty much taken over BA due to it's better interface and easier to find info. BA is cumbersome.

Fuck that dude. Stop living geyond your means once you get them paid off Very Happy

Well, let's see......

They were all paid off and then I had to spend $8000.00 getting dental work done. My wife spent another $2000.00 on dental work. And we went to Sea World which cost us about $1000.00.

I don't consider that living beyond our means. The Credit cards we have are basically for emergencys & Vacations. That's exactly what we use them for. Everything else is paid in cash.

Is this all $8,000 gets you these days?

I will sponsor a guy for the Refugees. I was looking around the site and not sure who.

Want throw some names out there? Wally Backman is $15, of course Rusty Kuntz is always an option...
